EU justice ministers responded to terrorist attacks with a plan to require airlines to hand over passenger data to law enforcement.

Meeting in Riga, Latvia, on 29 January, ministers issued a joint statement on the EU response to the terrorist attacks, which also included a commitment to work with social media companies to remove extremist content from their platforms.
